The Wildcats’ baseball team finished up play in the 27th annual Rose City Classic in Tyler Saturday with an 8-0 romp over Waxahachie. A planned game to follow against Forney was canceled.
The Wildcats ended up winning 2 and losing 2 in the Tyler Lee sponsored tournament played at Mike Carter Field. Thursday the Wildcats topped host Tyler Lee, 7-4 and then lost to Lindale, 9-6. Friday the Wildcats lost to Amarillo, 6-2.
The Wildcats, 2-2 for the season, are scheduled to play in a Lindale tournament this coming Thursday through Saturday.
