PARIS – More than 500 college and high school students from across Texas and beyond select the Texas Department of Transportation as their employer of choice during the summer months.
In fact, many members of the agency’s executive leadership team, including the executive director, were once summer interns with TxDOT. These internships provide an opportunity to learn more about what the agency does for all Texans, expand knowledge and skills learned in school, and often serve as a gateway to future employment.
Summer internship assignments at TxDOT range from engineering technicians and engineering support personnel, to general support and maintenance technicians.
