River Flood Warning Remains in Effect for Hopkins, Delta Counties

The River Flood warning for parts of Delta and Hopkins County remains in effect. The South Sulphur River near Cooper staged at 20.98 feet Tuesday morning at 9:15 a.m. Flood stage is 16 feet. Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. The river will continue rising to a crest near 22 feet by Thursday evening and then begin falling but remain above flood stage.

Do not drive cars through flooded areas. Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
