1950s Downtown Sulphur Springs, Dairy Fest.
The Hopkins County Genealogical Society needs your help. They are looking for Pre-1930’s photographs related to Hopkins County families, homes, businesses, business people, churches, and street scenes. They will scan your photos to preserve them for future generations. Some may be used in their soon to be published book pertaining to 1914 Sulphur Springs, due out later this year.
Please bring your snapshots, old post card photos, and old pictures to the genealogy library at 611 N. Davis Street , located just inside the public library building. If you are not sure of the location or date of you images, bring them anyway, as there are volunteers willing to help.
The genealogy library is opened Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9 to 5. And on Saturday from 9 to noon. Phone 903-885-8523.”
