Mother’s Culture Club members Morgan Massey Vail and Maci Chester Fowler are part of the planning committee for the Valentine-season “Daddy Daughter Dance” on Saturday February 3, 2018.
Admission to the “Enchanted Forest” date night at the Civic Center will include music for dancing, professional photos by Rock Star, a photo booth for casual pictures, refreshments and door prizes. Unicorn rides and face painting will be available by donation. The event will be held from 7-9 pm and tickets can be purchased in advance at $25 per dad, while at the door tickets will be $30 per dad. Dads can be accompanied by as many daughters as he likes with his ticket. Tickets are also available at Sisterbabyz Boutique near downtown Sulphur Springs.
Mothers Culture Club was established in 1921 and has been assisting families in Hopkins County for almost 90 years. Funds raised from annual events are 100% facilitated toward immediate needs of Hopkins County families referred by local organizations like CASA and others. Other benefit events sponsored by Mother’s Culture Club are held during the Casa Cookie Walk, Dairy Festival and a summertime Foursquare event. There are about 35 members in the club. Membership is by referral from other members, with nominations held twice per year. The term that moms can serve as members is during the pre-school to kindergarten years of their children. Loren Ingram is serving as 2018 President of Mother’s Culture Club.
