Funeral service for Gerald Dean Kirkpatrick, age 80, of Emory, will be held 10:00 am Wednesday morning at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church on Tuesday evening, Jan. 23rd. Interment will follow service in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery #1. Bro. Billy Smith and Bro. Bryan Easley will officiate the services. Gerald passed away on Sunday, Jan. 21st at his residence.Gerald was born July 5, 1937, in Emory, to Ennis Nolan and Lela Morrow Kirkpatrick. He married Donna Asbill on June 22, 1956 in Emory. He worked for Walker McDonald Manufacturing in Greenville for some 40 years, before retiring in 1999. He was a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church.

Son: Kenneth Kirkpatrick and wife Tonja of Durant, Oklahoma
