October 18th

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 12:52 a.m., in reference to an incident that occurred on PR 7631. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869/FM 2088, at approximately 2:47 a.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 8:26 a.m., in reference to criminal trespass on FM 1643 near Winnsboro. A Criminal Trespass Warning was issued.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 4730 near Winnsboro; at approximately 11:15 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2958 near Alba, at approximately 1:16 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 2:18 p.m., in reference to a theft that occurred on CR 3234 near Quitman. Actors, or actors unknown, stole a plastic deer feeder from the reporting party’s property.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 2:43 p.m., in reference to an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle on FM 779 near Alba. Actors, or actors unknown, took the vehicle without consent. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

At 7:11 p.m., cows were reported out on HWY 154/CR 3230 near Quitman.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2088 near Winnsboro, at approximately 7:18 p.m., in reference to a criminal trespass. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to Lake Quitman, at approximately 8:16 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies located the activity and cleared the scene.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2320 near Mineola, at approximately 8:45 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to HWY 37 near Quitman, at approximately 8:49 p.m. Crystal Parker, 35, of Quitman, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

At 8:50 p.m., cows were reported out on HWY 154/CR 3230 near Quitman.

October 19th

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3482 near Hawkins, at approximately 1:39 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2140 near Quitman, at approximately 7:25 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies locate the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to White Dove near Quitman, at approximately 7:37 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 1907 near Yantis; at approximately 8:17 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 11:06 a.m., in reference to a fraud that occurred on HWY 80 near Mineola. Actors, or actors unknown, cashed a check that was not theirs. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1935 near Yantis, at approximately 1:00 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on White Dove near Quitman, at approximately 1:33 p.m. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 2724 near Mineola; at approximately 6:26 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

At 7:13 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 49 near Mineola.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 778 near Quitman, at approximately 8:16 p.m., in reference to shots fired. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the activity.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 11:16 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Eddie Wyman, 47, of Quitman, was arrested for Burglary of Habitation.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2153 near Quitman, at approximately 11:37 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Parties were separated, prior to the deputies’ arrival.

October 20th

At 2:02 a.m., horses were reported out on Fm 2088/CR 4186 near Quitman.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 7:10 a.m., in reference to a disturbance. A Criminal Trespass Warning was issued and parties were separated.

Deputies were dispatched to Cheyenne near Quitman, at approximately 8:16 a.m., in reference to a disturbance. Thomas Ogletree, 42, of Quitman, was arrested for outstanding warrants.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 11:26 a.m., in reference to a burglary. A known actor stole a chainsaw from the reporting party’s residence. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

At 12:44 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 49 near Mineola.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 312 near Winnsboro, at approximately 12:51 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4560 near Winnsboro, at approximately 1:06 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 778 near Quitman, at approximately 6:58 p.m., in reference to a motorist assist. A vehicle was moved out of the roadway and the scene was cleared.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2840 near Mineola, at approximately 11:28 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

October 21st

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2966 near Quitman, at approximately 2:32 a.m., in reference to shots fired. Deputies located the gun shots and everything as OK.

Deputies responded to a reckless driver on CR 3163 near Quitman; at approximately 2:34 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

At 4:33 a.m., donkeys were reported out on FM 2088/CR 4186 near Quitman.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1670 near Alba, at approximately 7:40 a.m., in reference to criminal mischief. Actors, or actors unknown, damaged the reporting party’s fence.

Deputies were dispatched to Golfing Green Cove near Hawkins, at approximately 9:20 a.m., in reference to a disturbance. Parties were separated.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1416 near Quitman, at approximately 10:32 a.m., in reference to a disturbance. Parties were separated.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2377 near Alba, at approximately 2:46 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 2:58 p.m., in reference to a theft that occurred on FM 2225 near Quitman. Actors, or actors unknown, stole a license plate from the reporting party’s vehicle.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 312 near Winnsboro, at approximately 3:24 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies locate the individual and everything was OK.

At 4:37 p.m., horses were reported out on FM 14 near Mineola.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 4:51 p.m., in reference to an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle on CR 2175 near Mineola. This case is active.

Deputies responded to a reckless driver on FM 515 near Yantis; at approximately 8:06 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2205 near Mineola, at approximately 8:38 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it as secure.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 4390 near Leesburg; at approximately 9:41 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on FM 515/FM 2966 near Yantis, at approximately 10:35 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

October 22nd

Deputies were dispatched to FM 515 near Quitman, at approximately 3:55 a.m., in reference to a structural fire. Coke Fire Department and Yantis Fire Department arrived and extinguished the fire.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2422 near Mineola, at approximately 4:07 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2740 near Mineola, at approximately 4:35 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and provided and courtesy transport.

Deputies were dispatched to PR 7536 near Hawkins, at approximately 7:58 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

At 9:16 a.m., horses were reported out on CR 2460 near Mineola.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4286 near Winnsboro, at approximately 10:57 a.m., in reference to criminal trespass. A Criminal Trespass Warning was issued and the scene was cleared.

Deputies responded to a reckless driver on HWY 80 near Mineola; at approximately 11:02 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

At 11:41 a.m., cows were reported out on CR 1410 near Quitman.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1580 near Alba, at approximately 6:32 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and cleared the scene.

Deputies were dispatched FM 2869 near Hawkins, at approximately 9:21 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

October 23rd

At 5:36 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 2088/CR 4186 near Quitman.

At 5:43 a.m., horses were reported out on FM 49 near Hawkins.

Deputies went out on arrest/warrant service to CR 2700 near Mineola; at approximately 7:54 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Mineola, at approximately 8:51 a.m., in reference to an inquest. A female, 72, was found deceased in her residence. The Justice of the Peace arrived and no autopsy was ordered.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 1795 near Hawkins, at approximately 10:56 a.m., in reference to credit/debit card abuse. Actors, or actors unknown, used the reporting party’s information without consent. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party at 1:07 p.m., in reference to a theft that occurred on PR 5675 near Alba. A known actor stole several items from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on HWY 80 near Hawkins; at approximately 3:45 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 3811 near Hawkins; at approximately 6:11 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to FM 2869 near Hawkins; at approximately 7:55 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on FM 2869 near Hawkins; at approximately 8:36 p.m. Lynzie Christian, 24, of Hawkins, was arrested for outstanding warrants.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on HWY 80 near Hawkins; at approximately 10:04 p.m. Trayvon Williams, 27, of Cypress, Texas, was arrested for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Conviction/Suspension/Without Financial Responsibility.

October 24th

Deputies were dispatched to Fm 2225 near Quitman, at approximately 1:56 a.m., in reference to an assault that occurred. Brandon Nichols, 28, of Quitman, was arrested for Assault Causing Bodily Injury Family/Household Member with Previous Conviction.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2225 near Quitman, at approximately 6:34 a.m., in reference to a structural fire. Quitman Fire Department and Coke Fire Department arrived and extinguished the fire. This case has been forwarded to other agency.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4192 near Quitman, at approximately 7:50 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2689 near Hawkins, at approximately 10:56 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 12:36 p.m., in reference to an assault that occurred in McKinney, Texas. This case has been forwarded to other agency.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 1:13 p.m., in reference to a theft that occurred on FM 17 near Alba. A known actor stole firearms from the reporting party’s residence. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 14 near Hawkins, at approximately 1:39 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

At 2:33 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 515 near Yantis.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2351 near Mineola, at approximately 2:55 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 37 near Winnsboro, at approximately 5:36 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual, which was then transported to the hospital by Emergency Medical Services.

At 6:31 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 2966 near Quitman.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2088 near Quitman, at approximately 7:59 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. The individual left, prior to the deputies’ arrival.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869 near Hawkins, at approximately 9:41 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3542 near Leesburg, at approximately 10:23 p.m., in reference to an abandoned vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Between the dates of October 18th and October 24th, Wood County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to multiple agency assists that included the following: Police Departments, Emergency Medical Services, Fire Departments, Jarvis Security, Child Protective Services, Van Zandt County, and Hopkins County.

Total Jail Count – 148 inmates – 126 males and 22 females.
