For some travelers, a business credit card that earns travel “points” can make a great addition to their wallet. The newly introduced Chase Ink Business Preferred credit card has a wealth of features for a seasoned traveler or the infrequent traveler. The biggest bonus right now is the ability to earn 80,000 travel points with Chase by applying for this credit card and completing the initial spending requirement. Those 80,000 travel points would be worth $1,000 in travel rewards through the Chase travel website. Even if you already have a Chase credit card, you may be eligible for the sign-up bonus on this card. Although, it is technically a business credit card, you can also sign up for the card with a home based business or sole proprietorship using your social security number.
In addition to the travel points, this credit card also has some travel insurance and other perks that are worth a look. The most interesting is the cell phone protection coverage offered if you pay your phone bill using this card. Chase offers $600 in cell phone protection coverage for anyone on your phone plan. You can claim up to 3 times a year (with a $100 deductible each claim). Being a cardholder also gets you purchase protection for damage or theft for items purchased with the card, as well as extended warranties and Price Protection for those items.
