Margaret Mary Mierzwik

Funeral service for Margaret Mary Mierzwik, age 88, of Emory, will be held  2:30 pm, Sunday,  May 21, 2017, at Emory Baptist Church. Rev. Richard Piles will officiate.  Interment will follow in Emory City Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service at 1:30 pm. Margaret passed away Wednesday, the 17th, at Medical City McKinney.

She was born March 8, 1929, in Bremond, to Steven J. and Bessie Duhr. She married John Henry Mierzwik in Dallas on Aug. 5, 1950. During her working career, she did bookkeeping for sever companies, and then, later for the family business, J-Mar Recycle Shop. Margaret enjoyed and was a member of several organizations here in Rains County, such as, Rains County Garden Club, TOPS, Chamber of Commerce, TEL, and the Ruth Sunday School Class at Emory Baptist Church. Margaret loved flowers and plants…growing, much like we grow in love toward one another.

Survivors include:

Son:  Kenneth Mierzwik (Pat)  of Quinlan

Daughter:  Debbie Hernen (Mike) of Oklahoma City, OK

Grandchildren:  4

Great-grandchildren:  4

Numerous other loving family and friends

Preceded in death by:  Parents, Husband, and 2 great-grandchildren

Arrangements under the direction of Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home.
