Yantis FBC begins a new Easter tradition, and you’re invited!

If you’ve ever attended a drive-thru Nativity at Christmastime, well, now there is a drive-thru Easter portrayal.  The idea was brought to Yantis First Baptist Church Pastor Craig Vance by a church member. In mapping out ideas for the depiction, it was decided that about ten different scenes would be needed to tell the life of Jesus from birth to ministry to death. So, Pastor Vance recruited the youth and adults of the church and reached out to Yantis business people and community leaders to fill the roles. The drive-thru setting will open at 7pm Saturday April 8 in downtown Yantis for the public. As your car reaches each scene, there will be a printed board describing the scene and time of Jesus life. You may see people you know as actors, and there will be some live animals as well. Pastor Vance feels that this will be just one more way that families can use in teaching and in worship for their families. The first car will enter at 7pm, and the actors will stay in the scenes until the last visitor has come and gone.  The church and the downtown area of Yantis are on Highway 154, south of Sulphur Springs. The presentation is absolutely free.
