Tim Kelty Celebrates 50 Years in Local Real Estate

The public is invited to attend a 50th-Anniversary Open House today at Century 21 Hometown Realty from 4-6pm. Tim Kelty visited the KSST studios along with Joe Mack Gober to recount the history and success of the company. April 10, 2017 is the 50-year-mark since Kelty and then business partner Gene Watson opened Hometown Real Estate. Back in 1967, Sulphur Springs was growing and families were looking to buy homes and properties.

The same is true today in 2017 as more people are moving to our area, and as chain businesses are considering opening branches in Sulphur Springs. Over the past 2 years, Hometown Real Estate has assisted the boom by locating property where several new restaurants have opened for business, and others which are currently preparing to build. In fact, March 2017 marked another milestone month in real estate sales for Century 21 Hometown Real Estate.

The firm, headquartered in the tall yellow building at 1610 Posey Lane, is owned and operated by Tim Kelty. He is assisted by ten agents Marlin Jones, Johnny Gibson, Joe Mack Gober, Fred McCoy, McKenzie Glenn, Carolyn Matkin, Scott Burgin, Kerri Burgin, Trey Hinton and Joe Dan Gober.
