Randall (Randy) Lewis Moody

Randall (Randy) Lewis Moody of Allen, Texas went home to be with the lord on April 18, 2017, at the age of 70.  He was born August 2, 1946, to Ira Lewis Moody, Jr. and Helen Jo (Montgomery) Moody in Terrell, Texas. Randy was an Eagle Scout who obtained his ham radio license at an early age. He was a 1964 graduate of Sulphur Springs High School and a 1969 graduate of East Texas State University. In 2002, Randy retired from TXU where he worked as a computer programmer. He was a past Master of the Allen Masonic Lodge and a member of the First Baptist Church of Allen.

Randy is survived by his wife of 47 years, Margaret Sue Moody of Allen, Texas; daughters, Susan K. Van Heusen and husband Charles of Keller, Texas and Cindy Yates and husband Bill of Killeen, Texas; grandsons, Austin Lewis Van Heusen and William Van Heusen both of Keller, Texas; sister, Suzanne Henthorn and husband Tim of Fairview, Texas; uncles, Kenneth Moody and wife Winnie of Terrell, Texas and Darrell Moody and wife Nathala of San Antonio, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Ira Moody, Jr. and uncle, Gilbert Moody.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.

Memorial donations may be made in Randy’s name to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital or the Boy Scouts of America.
