Garth Looney

Funeral service for Garth Looney, 88, of Brashear, will be held  Monday, April 10, 2017, 12:00 noon, at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Billy Smith will officiate.  Interment will follow in Greenview Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service. Mr. Looney passed away Wednesday, April 5th, at his residence.

He was born June 25, 1928, in Emory, to Keiffer Franklin and Susan Vera Potts Looney. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Garth was a rancher and dairyman. He was a member of  Emory United Methodist Church.

Survivors include:

Special friend:  Charles Patrick Bentley (Jackie) of Wimberly

Foster-sons:  Robert Sgroe (Shirley) of Sulphur Springs; and,

Donnie Tolar (Jennifer) of Brashear

Nieces:  Candy Husband, Pam Husband, and, Pricilla Husband

Nephew:  Larry Looney (Pat) of Sulphur Springs

Grandchildren:  Kaitlyn, Kaci, Dustin and Lucas

Special Friends:  Joe and Peggy Weatherly; James and Melinda McLemore; and Jewel Cooper

Preceded in death by:  Parents; Brother, Jim Looney; Sisters, Avis Grayson and Mary Husband
