Camera Captures Criminal Mischief; Arrest Made
Donavin Jose Lucero, 17 of Sulphur Springs was arrested at the Austin Alternative School after Sulphur Springs Police viewed a surveillance camera video that showed Lucero spray painting vulgar words on an auto parked on private property on Fisher Street.
According to SSPD Investigator Bo Fox, the owner of the property had had issues in the past that caused him to place a surveillance camera at the property. The vandalism amounted to over $3,000 in damage making the act a state jail felony.
Lucero is in Hopkins County Jail charged with Criminal Mischief more than $2500 but less than $30,000 and is being held on a $10,000 bond.
