The Dinner Bell Food Ministry of First United Methodist Church offers a free lunch to anyone in need each Wednesday from 11:45 until 12:45 at the church Fellowship Hall downtown Sulphur Springs. The March 15 meal will have a St. Patrick’s Day theme. The local detachment of the US Marine Corps League will serve as this week’s Community Partner, and members will be there to welcome and assist diners.

Bridge players are being sought by Karon Weatherman, director of the Sulphur Springs Senior Citizens Center. The Tuesday and Thursday Bridge group is seeking new players and substitute players, with a tournament being planned for Summer 2017. Contact Karon at 903-885-0107.

The AARP Tax-Aide program offers free income tax preparation twice weekly in Sulphur Springs by certified tax preparers. You do not have to be a Sr. Citizen to take advantage of the service. Bring your tax documents and last year’s return to Wesley United Methodist Church Family Life Center on Tuesdays or Saturdays between 9am and 1pm through April 14. Individual and small business returns can be prepared.

The 2017 Bright Star Baseball season is now holding registration for players age 5-18 and for Buddies in 6th grade and up.  There is no charge to participate in the League. Opening Day is Monday April 3. Register online at brightstarbaseball.com.
