A Bake Sale Benefit will begin at 10am on Saturday March 25, 2017 along the sidewalk in front of Caps and Flasks and across from Muddy Jakes, corner of Main and Davis Streets in downtown Sulphur Springs., Texas. There will be chocolate pies, buttermilk pies, Pina Colada cake, Coca Cola cake, candies, cupcakes, brownies and many other specialty treats prepared to benefit the local resident. Shanda Beck Vaughn has been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer and is undergoing chemo treatments. Funds will be used for treatments and medical expenses. The community is invited to purchase the baked items prepared by local good cooks and friends of Shanda, a life-long resident of Sulphur Springs and daughter of the late Ray Vaughn of Ray’s Lockerplant BBQ. The sale will be held rain or shine.
