Picture Story: NETLA Show Underway; Sale of Champions Saturday

NETLA, Northeast Texas Livestock Association, is 15 years old this year (2017) and the NETA Show highlights the accomplishments and industry of Hopkins County youth in 4-H and FFA. Swine, goats, lambs, steers, and poultry will be exhibited by the participants. All are seeking the opportunity to make the Sale of Champions, which can provide money for college or another animal to show or some other pursuit of the student show-person.

The late Larry Spradlin, FFA teacher and former Hopkins County Extension Agent was a driving force behind the show. His legacy and the support of many in the community make this a successful endeavor for youth.

This year there are 88 exhibitors and 126 projects in the Swine Division; 55 exhibitors and 57 projects in the Goats Division; 30 exhibitors and 43 projects in the Lambs Division; 25 exhibitors and 28 animals in the Steer Division, and 64 exhibitors and 64 projects in the Poultry Division
