George William Hahn Jr., age 96, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel in Sulphur Springs with Rev. Wayne Scott officiating. Interment will follow at Peerless Cemetery with J.W. Burnett, Joshua Hahn, David James, Michael James, Keegan Lobin and Caden Watkins serving as pallbearers and Bill Arnold, Fred Locke, Danny Evans, J.D. Arnold, Bryan Arnold, Brent Arnold and Byron Evans serving as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Hahn passed away Thursday, February 16, 2017 at his residence. He was born on February 16, 1921 in the Bronx, New York City, New York to George William, Sr. and Minnie (Klenke) Hahn. He married Lasca Champ Arnold on October 10, 1949 in Rossville, Georgia. George was of the Methodist faith and a retired Senior Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, Lasca Hahn; sons, Jerry Hahn and wife Teresa, Glenn Hahn and wife Laura; daughter, Debbie Jackson; grandchildren, Joshua Hahn, Janay Jurca, Carey Lobin, J.W. Burnett, Jaye P. Willson, David James and Michael James; 11 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Edna Landerfeld.
Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home
