North Hopkins ISD Superintendent Darin Jolly announces that military veterans are invited to be honored at a breakfast in the school cafeteria on Friday November 11 starting at 8:30am.
SSISD will salute the veterans on Friday November 11 with a reception for veterans and spouses at 12 noon in the SSHS Library, followed by a program for the public at 1pm in the school gymnasium.
The Sulphur Bluff Beta Club recently donated 73 items during a service project for Can Help’s Coat and Blanket Drive. Beta Club officers are Reporter Harrison Fite, President Katie Allen, Vice President Jaden Goldsmith and Secretary Turner South.

A Hopkins County peace officer will present safety tips and information on “refusing to become a victim” at home and away during the Christmas shopping season….a local computer expert will provide safety training on Internet/Cyber safety for adults and children…and a demonstration of basic defense will be offered by a representative of a local Jui Jitsu facility. There will also be opportunity to win door prizes and Eagle Bucks. Families are especially invited to attend.
