Graveside services for Dorothy Compton Easley, age 83, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Restlawn Memorial Park with family serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., prior to service time at West Oaks Funeral Home. Mrs. Easley passed away Monday, October 31, 2016 at Rock Creek Health and Rehab.
She was born to Doyle and Jean Douglass Compton on April 19, 1933 in Ft. Worth, TX. In the summer of 1949, while visiting friends she met Floyd Easley on the Sulphur Springs square. They married a few months later on September 24 and were together 63 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Brashear Baptist Church. She is survived by daughters, Donna Webb and husband Marlon, Leta Mahand and husband Mike, Judy Easley and Annette Peugh and husband David, sister-in-law, Wandean Easley, grandchildren, Jason Wright, Cody Wells, Amanda Mahand, Kara Argenbright and husband Chad, Sarah Smith, Jacob Peugh, and Candace Foley, great-grandchildren, Rylan Wright, Abilgail Wright, Kaden Argenbright, Corbin Argenbright, Tyler Peugh, Collin Peugh, Jakota Peugh, Isaac Foley, Sam Foley and Jonah Foley, numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband.
