A style benefit event for ladies and teens is planned on Tuesday October 4 at 6pm at The Venue at Two Nineteen. The fashion and jewelry showcase with foods and desserts stands for a good cause. Donations at the door will benefit Stand Up to Cancer.
Marlene’s Sass and Class Boutique AND Beauty and Grace Boutique models will offer exciting new fall trends and colors, featuring maroon and wine, plus olive and deep green shades, the suede look, fringe from purses to boots and much more. Other sponsors are Danna’s, Secret Garden, Gourmet Kitchen and Company, Lyndsey’s Plates and Provisions and Itzy Bitzy Bakery.
The cause is especially exciting to organizer Marlene DeYong, who lost her father to cancer. When her son was a toddler, her father was given only three months to live; but thanks to research, her father lived an additional six years, giving her son the opportunity to get to know his grandfather, and allowing her father to have an influence in her son’s life.
Those attending the fashion event at 219 Main Street will have the opportunity to win gift certificates and enjoy the food and fun as well as the fashion show.
