Funeral Services for Ludell Sparks French, age 91 of Sulphur Springs, will be held Saturday, September 17, 2016, at 11 am at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Moore officiating and Linda Meek assisting. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park with Kenny Rogers, Weston Teer, Johnny Kizer, Brandon Rogers, Cecil Nelson, Ricky Nelson and J.P. Perez serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held Friday, September 16, 2016, from 6-8 pm at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Mrs. French passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Rock Creek Nursing Home. She was born August 28, 1925 in Mt. Vernon, the daughter of Martin and Johnnie (Barnhill) Sparks. She married Lee French on December 23, 1953 in Winnsboro; he preceded her in death in 2011. She was a housewife and a member of Assembly of God.
Mrs. French is survived by her sons, Ronnie French and wife Tammy, of Mt. Pleasant; Kenneth French of Sulphur Springs; and Joe French of Sulphur Springs; daughter, Marie Rogers and husband Ronnie; grandchildren, Leanna Brantley, Paul French, Jason Trout, Rylee French, Brandon Rogers, and Kenny Rogers; great-grandchild, Allyiah French.
She is preceded in death by her husband; daughter-in-law, Terri George French; brothers, Bill Sparks, Ray Sparks, M.L. Sparks, Arthur Sparks, Edward Sparks and Wayne Sparks; and sisters, Mamie Whittaker, Susie Lawerence, Dovie Wilson, and Bobbie Sparks.
