The Tira Homecoming is fast approaching. Please make plans to attend on July 3rd. The program will begin in the Tira Methodist Church at 11:00, followed by a covered-dish lunch on the picnic grounds. If you would like to contribute toward the upkeep of the cemetery, you may do so that day, or send your donation by mail, to the Tira Cemetery Association, c/o Jan Vaughn, 776 FM 1536, Sulphur Springs, Texas 75482.
Billy Moss wants to announce the arrival of his nephew, Holt Horton, on June 1. Holt and his parents, Shawnye Moss (from Sulphur Springs) and Nick Horton from Cooper, reside in Fate. Billy reports that his mother – Holt’s grandmother – Mamie Jo Garner Jenkins is overjoyed with her new grandson. He also shared that “Uncle Willie” has been out shopping for baby things. Congratulations to the family on their new addition!
Sheila Boyd reports, “We had a wonderful Father’s Day. Colton and Kat Boyd came out, along with John Lawson (Daddy) and Judy Lawson. Dallas and Josie showed us how to hit a baseball. They even had Uncle Colton on the trampoline. A good meal was enjoyed by all – at least that is what they told me, anyway. Wesley and Terri will be down to celebrate with Michael this next weekend. Such blessings! God is good.”
Kim and Lee Beck moved their son, Jackson Dailey to San Antonio last week to job search and hopefully begin Grad School in the fall. Kim says, “He has applied to the University of Texas San Antonio. Go Roadrunners!”
Tiffany, Grace, and Linda Ellen Vaughn had lunch with us on Father’s day. Morgan, Kenden, and Jaidyn celebrated Father’s Day with their dad, Malcolm Joslin. Malcolm also visited with Landon, Laiken, Rylan, Brailon, and Slaiden on Sunday. On Saturday, Tiffany and Jaidyn met Stephanie Weaver, of McKinney, for pedicures. After that, Tiffany and Stephanie went to Juan Pablo’s for dinner.
