Hot Air Balloons lazily floated across I-30 near Shannon Oaks Church Friday night, June 11th, as the Hopkins County Dairy Festival Hot Air Balloon Glow and Lift gave spectators a colorful spectacle. Aided by local volunteers, the balloon pilots made lift off and, crossing over the conclusion of the 5K Milk Run, made their way toward a chosen landing sight northeast of the lift area. Several other balloons remained to await dusk and provide a bright colorful experience.
Saturday evening, another glow is planned, weather permitting, at the Shannon Oaks Church campus.
