Vera Williams



Funeral service for Vera Williams, age 93, of Emory, are set for MondayMay 23, 2016, at First Baptist Church of Point.  Interment will follow in Lynch Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Sunday evening 6:00 – 8:00 pm, at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home.  Her grandson, Bro. Henry Garmon, will officiate,  with Zachary Honzell assisting. Mrs. Williams died early Thursday morning at Senior Suite Care and Rehab.

She was born June 30, 1922, in Jacksboro, to Elmer Alvin and Martha Ann Ainsworth Cook.   Later to marry James Robert “Buddy” Williams on Dec. 20, 1939.
Survivors include:
Daughter:  Brenda Wright (George) of Garland
Sisters:  Marie Lippincott of Ben Wheeler, and, Betty Hatley of Sulphur Springs
Grandchildren:  Henry Garmon (Rosa) of Point; Holly Grant (Tony) of Point; and, Honey Niette (Keith) of Garland
Great-grandchildren: 5
Great-great-grandchild:  1
Numerous other loving family and friends
Preceded in death by:  parents, husband, great-grandson, Austin Grant, 4 brothers, and, 3 sisters
