Graveside services for Delbert D. Brown, age 75 of Yantis, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Yantis Cemetery with Rev. C.J. Duffey and Rev. Craig Vance officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Allan Hague, Rick Hughes, Jordan Hughes, Colby Temples, Mark Coker and Brent Bigler. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Delbert passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. He was born on April 14, 1940 in Winnsboro, the son of Vochall and Josephine (Perry) Brown. He married Lynda Sue Coker on April 25, 1959. He served in the U.S. Navy; was a retired building contractor and a member of the First Baptist Church – Yantis.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Kim Hughes and husband, Rick of Santa Rosa Beach, FL and Shannon Hague and husband, Allan of Yantis; grandchildren, Megan Hughes, Kasey Watkins, Kourtney Temples, Jordan Hughes, Tiffany Hughes and Lynzee Hague; and great-grandchild, Penelope Temples.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters.
