Charley “Buddy” Garner

Mr. Charley “Buddy” Garner, age 80 of Winnsboro, passed away on Tuesday, March 1st, 2016 in Tyler. He was born on January 29th, 1936 in Winnsboro to the late Burle Garner and Mamie Jane Voorheese Garner. He worked as a forklift operator for Allied Foods before retiring, he helped maintain Shady Grove Cemetery, and attended Pine Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, sons, Robert and Rodney Garner; daughter, Kimberly Garner; and brother, Eugene Barber.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Garner of Winnsboro; sons, Danny Garner of Winnsboro, Charles Garner of Houma, LA.; daughter, Kelly Willis of Duncanville; grandchildren, Nikki McGarrity, Amanda Garner, Krista Garner, Joseph Garner, Victoria Garner, Hailey Garner, Chase Garner; and seventeen great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 4th, 2016 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm, interment will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery in Winnsboro, with Charles Garner, Danny Garner, Robert Rochelle, John Caviness, Ron Barber, Sherman Barber serving as pallbearers.
