Maude Speaks, age 89 of Dallas, passed away on Wednesday, February 3rd, 2016 at her home in Dallas. She was born on April 4th, 1926 in Wood County to the late Willie Canaday and Claudie Newkirk Speaks. She was a homemaker, and a member of First Missionary Baptist Church of Cockrell Hill in Dallas. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of sixty-two years, H.V. Speaks on May 23, 2004; son, Harold Speaks; six sisters and one brother.
She is survived by twin daughters, Marlene Garner and Darlene Davis of Dallas; three grandchildren, John Davis, Tommy Vaughan, Debbie Davis; nine great-grandchildren, numerous great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 5th, 2016 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro Funeral Services will be follow at 11:00 AM, Pastor Rob Keith conducting, interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Scroggins, with Gary Edwards, Anthony Collins, Thomas Tatman, Billy Joe Speaks, Jack Franklin, Trevor Nelson serving as pallbearers.
