Funeral service for James Earl Hill, age 76, of Emory, are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at the Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel in Emory. Bro. Jerry Jackson, Jr. and Bro. Duane Jackson will officiate. Interment will follow in Emory City Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday evening, 6:00-8:00 pm at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home.
James was born on July 4, 1939, in Sulphur Springs to Cecil and Byrdie Mae Nordin Hill. He married Fannie Lee Dittman on June 21, 1981, in Hugo, OK. James worked most all his life as a long haul truck driver. James was a member of Bright Star Baptist Church.
