Funeral service for Ellen Delores Williams, age 69, of Lone Oak, will be held at First Baptist Church of Point, 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 18, 2016. Interment will follow at Lone Star Cemetery in Point. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, February 17, 2016, 6-8 PM, at the church. Bro. Jay Sikes and Bro. Zachary Honzell will officiate.
Ellen was born in Atlanta, GA, on August 12, 1946, to John Slaton and Cleo Dell Sturdivant Atwood. She married Willie Edward Williams, in Dallas, on March 15, 1964, and they’ve been married some 51 years. She was a homemaker, a wife, and a mom, all of her life. Ellen was a member of First Baptist Church of Point where she loved to help with Vacation Bible School every year and she also enjoyed singing there.
