Funeral services for Charles H. Morris, age 79 of Brashear, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Rev. Halston Potts and Rev. David Burns officiating. Interment will follow at South Liberty with Rick Girello, J. B. Davenport, Duane Bleeker, Richard Brock, George Mizelle and Leon Davis serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Charles passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. He was born on March 30, 1936 in Gainesville, FL the son of William Monroe and Mary Louise (Mull) Morris. He married Mary Ann Davis on October 28, 1978 in Granbury. He served in the U.S. Air Force; was a supervisor in a nuclear plant and a member of South Liberty Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Eddie Morris of North Carolina, Michael Morris of Colorado and Gregory Morris of Rhode Island; daughter, Kathy Morris of Virginia, Tina Davenport of Miller Grove and Terrie Girello of Florida; grandsons, Evan Morris and Forrest Davenport and granddaughters, Courtney Funderburg, Emily Davenport, Angela Castro, Jessica Sine; eight great-grandchildren and sisters, Dorothy McMahan of North Carolina and Josephine Shook of Virginia.
