Billy Bob Miller

Mr. Billy Bob Miller, age 88 of Garland, passed away on Thursday, February 11th, 2016 in Texas State Veterans Home in Bonham. He was born on October 29th, 1927 in Scroggins to the late Roy Miller and Carmen Knight Miller. He served honorably in US Army during World War II and was recalled during the Korean War. He worked as a firefighter for the Garland Fire Department, and retired from the U.S. Postal Service, was a member of the Garland VFW Post # 5076 and a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of fifty-eight years, Ruby Copeland Miller on December 31, 2008; brother, Donald Miller; sisters, Rachel Winkle and Joyce Ann Ennis.

He is survived by his son, Marx Miller of Mineola; daughter, Terry Swaner and husband Craig of Wylie; grandchildren, Angela Gerhart, Allison Miller, Matthew Swaner, Callie Swaner, Ashley Maley; great-grandchildren, Logan Gerhart, Layton Gerhart, Landry Gerhart, Jaxen Swaner, Aria Stormey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 13th, 2016 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro. Graveside Service will follow on Saturday, February 13th, 2016 at Willard Cemetery CR 4412 Winnsboro, TX 75494 at 11:00 am, Dr. David Rose officiating.
