Jerry Pat Preskitt, age 77, of Point, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2015, at Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville. No service is scheduled at this time. Cremation arrangements under the direction of Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home of Emory.
Jerry was born in Bakersville, CA on September 26, 1938, to Ishmael Milage “Slim” and Juanita Bundy Preskitt. He married Sandra Ann Preskitt on December 27, 1989 in Rockwall. He was a 30 year United States Marine Corps Veteran who served during Vietnam wartime and was awarded 4 purple hearts. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post #2559 of West Tawakoni, where throughout the years he held many offices; a lifetime member of West Tawakoni Amvets Post #36, Inc.; and a member of American Legion Post 517 West Tawakoni. He was a very loving and devoted family man.
Survived by: Son: Daniel Johnson, and wife, Wendy, of West Tawakoni; 2 Daughters: Nancy Johnene Rayburn, and husband, Terry, of Marysville, WA; and Shelley Sutton of Bakersville, CA; 1 Step-daughter: Christina Presler Billings, and husband, Micah, of West Virginia; 1 Brother: James Gordon Preskitt of Tulsa, OK; 1 Sister: LaQuita Metz, and husband, Gus, of Point; 14 Grandchildren and 10 Great-grandchildren; Numerous other loving family and friends.
