Sometime around noon Sunday, December 20th, approximately 400 customers of Oncor line maintenance were affected by a power outage. A vehicle striking an electrical service pole is said to be the cause of the outage, according to Oncor. Oncor expected to restore service around 8 p.m. Sunday evening.
The area affected by the outage stretched from just east of the Sulphur Springs city limits to the Mahoney Community. As of 6 p.m., a caller from the Mahoney area said his power had not been restored. Families celebrating an early Christmas, brunch and lunch at the Sulphur Springs Country Club, and other activities were either canceled or limited due to the outage.
