The 1st round of the Saltillo Lions tournament got started yesterday in Pool Play with 1 team out of each Pool going undefeated.
The host Saltillo Lady Lions ran their season record to 5-0 with a 40-26 win over Quinlanand in the nightcap defeated Paris 53-26. Haylee Clover and Paula Boechorst led the scoring in the Quinlan game with 12 points a piece, Ana Gallegos had 5 while Madison Simmons, Raine English and Tori Mobley had 3 a piece and Melissa Groenwold had 2.
In the nightcap Clover had 23,Boekorst had 12, Groenwold had 6, Gallegos and Siena Collins had 4 a piece while Simmons had 2 and Brenda Castro and Maslori Hogue had 1 a piece.
Quinlan won their 2nd game over DeKalb 45-29 while Paris defeated Royce City JV 49-36. Royse City JV fell to DeKalb 39-38.

In Pool B Bullard defeated Chapel Hill 39-24 and Rivercrest 67-29 to be undefeated in Pool B. Rivercrest defeated Como Pickton 65-10 while Chapel Hill defeated Paris Chisum 51-48. Chisum started the tournament with a 51-45 win over Como Pickton.
