Sulphur Springs Police Detective Sgt. Monty Tipps has been assigned to investigate a case of robbery last Friday where a 16-year old boy was threatened into turning over his cell phone to two men in their early twenties. Two 16-year old boys were walking home from Sulphur Springs High School last Friday at about 4:45 p.m. when they were confronted by two men in their early twenties. At first they demanded the sneakers and cell phone of one of the boys. The boys feared that the men were armed. When one boy gave up his cell phone, the men let them go. The case remains under investigation.
