Ashley Crump, former caregiver for her mother-in-law Janie Crump, gave a testimony to the good that Terrific Tuesdays did for herself and their entire family during Janie’s final year. Several dozen persons walked the track and enjoyed the music during the outdoor event at the Gardens at Memorial Hospital, including Terrific Tuesday members, their families, caregivers and volunteers. Director Joyce McDonald and Senior Citizen Director Karon Weatherman were pleased with the turnout and the donations. The commemorative quilt went to Mary Grant, and purple flowers were given to Terrific Tuesday members in attendance. Anyone who wishes to support the program is welcome to make a donation at any time of the year by contacting Joyce McDonald at 903-243-5620.Terrific Tuesdays is a respite care program for caregivers of dementia patients, and is held weekly at the Sulphur Springs First United Methodist Church.
