Memorial services for Ruby Whitehead, age 52 of Sulphur Springs will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 28, 2015 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Stinson officiating. There will be no formal visitation.
Ms. Whitehead passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2015, at Trinity Mother Frances in Tyler. She was born on June 24, 1963, the daughter of Willis Teen, Jr. and Nellie Joyce (McCown) Whitehead in Dallas, Texas. She worked as a CNA for many years and was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her parents; brother, Robin Ray Whitehead of Ft. Worth; sisters, LaQuita Brown and husband, David of Pickton and Suzanne Daigle and husband, Dave of Carrollton; partner, Gary Vance of Sulphur Springs; niece, Amanda Gunn and husband, Brandon of Winnsboro; one great-nephew, two great-nieces and her special dog, Destiny.
She was preceded in death by her nephew, Heath Brown.
