A 24-year old Sulphur Springs man, Nathan James “Lumpy” Bearden, was arrested Wednesday evening at 9 p.m. for burglary of a habitation. While Sheriff’s deputies were performing warrant service at a local hotel, a woman told them someone had entered her room without her permission. She had left her room briefly and left the door ajar. Someone told her a man ran into her room and closed the door. Management opened the door for the officers and deputies found the man hiding behind a door.
Bearden is in Hopkins County jail on a charge of burglary of a habitation. His bond has been set at $20,000.
