An addition to the Northeast Texas Symphony radio/television/website auction in 2014 was the opportunity to light up the sky by detonating the fireworks at this year’s Independence Day Celebration at Celebration Plaza. Tom and Carolyn Stewart purchased the opportunity but designated their good friend and long-time symphony league treasurer Carol Bridges to set off the detonation.
