The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued A Flood Warning For the South Sulphur River near Cooper
from late tonight to late Monday night, or until the warning is cancelled.
At 10:15am Sunday the stage was 5.91 Feet. Flood Stage is 16.0 feet. Minor flooding is forecast. The River should rise above Flood Stage by early Monday morning and continue to rise to a crest near 17 feet by Monday afternoon. The River should fall below Flood Stage by late Monday afternoon. At 16 feet, minor out of bank flooding will occur to farm and ranch land adjacent to the River.
