Flash Flood Watch Until Monday Morning

ksst ksstradio.comAt 3:10 a.m. Sunday morning (May 10), the National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Watch in effect along and north of a Comanche to Hillsboro to Terrell to Sulphur Springs line through 7 a.m. Monday (May 11).

The ground is saturated from rainfall over the past several days. Additional heavy rain is possible with thunderstorms through tonight that may result in additional flash flooding. Some areas may receive additional rain amounts of 3 inches or more through tonight.

Hopkins, Delta, Kaufman, Eastland, Erath, Hood, Somervell, Johnson, Ellis, Comanche Hamilton, Bosque, and Hill Counties are included in this watch.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions are favorable for heavy rain which may lead to flash flooding. You should monitor the latest forecasts from the National Weather Service and be prepared to take action should flash flood warnings be issued for your area.
