Chicks For Charity in Hopkins County received the Community Pride award at the Chamber
Banquet in February for their unique way of funding local nonprofit agencies with little effort.
The Chicks meet once every three months and vote for a nonprofit to support. Each member
writes the charity a $50 check. In three and a half years, the Chicks have donated close to
$84,000. If you’re interested, they meet next on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at First United Methodist
Church Fellowship Hall.
