Funeral Services for Mary Jo Parker, age 75 of Sulphur Springs will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Perkins and Melvin Joslin, Jr. officiating.  Interment will be at North Hopkins Cemetery with Floyd Lawson, Jerry Don Gibby, Andy Wright, Weldon Glossup, Gary Lewis and Tim Vaughn serving as pallbearers.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Mary Jo passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Sulphur Springs Health & Rehab.  She was born the daughter of Joseph C. “Joe” and Bessie Maude (Lewis) Parker on June 17, 1939 in Hopkins County.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Posey Baptist Church since 1989.  She co-wrote a book of Gospel song-poems in 1992 with her mother and sister.

Mary Jo is also survived by one sister, Loretta Beth Crawford and husband, Sherman; one brother, Johnny Merle Parker; one nephew, Wesley Sherman Crawford and one niece, Sherry Beth Randall.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one great-niece, Baileigh Beth Crawford.
