Hopkins County Sheriff’s Chief Criminal Investigator Lewis Tatum is urging county residents to be the nosiest neighbor you can be to help the Sheriff’s Office arrest a group of thieves who have recently burglarized several homes in the south part of the county during the day. The thieves like to kick a door open, grab items and get out quick. Tatum is hoping someone will get a description or a license plate number of a strange car in an area. Tatum says he has learned from interviewing burglars that they avoid houses with alarm systems or with mean dogs. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Sheriff’s Office.
