Wilma Ada Wade

Wilma Ada Wade, age 82, of Emory, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015. Wilma was born on March 12, 1932 in Winnsboro, TX to Willie James “Bill” and Edna Arlette Simmons Wheatley, she was third of six children.
She graduated as Valedictorian from Emory High School.  She married O.J. Wade in 1952 and completed her master’s degree in education from East Texas State Teacher’s College, now A&M at Commerce.

O.J. and Wilma moved to Dallas where she began her 30 year teaching career as an elementary school teacher in the Dallas ISD.

She retired to Emory in 1984, where she enjoyed life and was active in her community and Emory United Methodist Church.  She was loved by all who knew her.

Funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, 2:00 PM, February 7, 2015, at the Emory First United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at the Smyrna Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Friday 6-8 PM here at the Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers memorial bequeaths may be made to the Emory United Methodist Church at (903)473-2411; 456 N. Texas St., Emory, TX 75440.

Survivors include: husband, O.J. Wade of Emory; Daughter: Suzette Wade Neal, and husband, Billy, of Bedford; Son: James Richard Wade, and wife, Tracy, of Longvalley, N.J. Grandchildren: Allison Elaine Wade, Kristen Wren Wade, Jackson Dean Mapes, Amber Graham, Ashley Neal Great-Grandchildren: Nicholas, Olivia, Mason, Brycen, and Elijah Numerous other loving family & friends

Preceded by: parents; 2 sisters: Dorothy Feiner, and Patricia Wohlhueter; 1 Brother: Marvin Eugene Wheatley
