Sulphur Springs City Pool Will Soon be Demolished

In a short period of time, the old city of Sulphur Springs swimming pool will be no more. Already the slide is gone. City Manager Marc Maxwell says the fence will be coming down soon so equipment can move in to demolish the pool. Very high liability insurance rates and maintenance issues caused the pool to lie dormant for several years now. Maxwell says city staff is considering spray parks for city parks. I talked about the pool with City Manager Marc Maxwell Wednesday morning.
