Considering that the Wildcats’ powerlifting team included seven freshmen, their first meet of the season Saturday at Lindale went really well according to Coach Jeremy Offutt. Four lifters earned medals and the Wildcats finished ninth at the meet. Jonathan Alvarez was second in the 123-pound class, Colton Morris was third in the 198-pound class, Alex Gamez was fourth in the 220-pound class and Ian Blanch was fifth in the 242-pound class.
