John Gatturna

Gatturna - Cropped PicMilitary graveside services for John Gatturna, age 82 of Cumby, will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Restlawn Memorial Park with Jim Dial playing the bag pipes.  There will be no formal visitation.

Mr. Gatturna passed away on Monday, November 17, 2014 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital in Sulphur Springs. He was born on April 27, 1932 in New York City the son of Albert and Louise Vicovasi Gatturna.  He served as a Navy Seal during Korean Conflict and was a retired general contractor.

Survivors include: spouse, Naomi Barber of Cumby; son, John Gatturna and wife, Ethel of Ontario, California; three daughters; Louie Manolescu, Toni Devazio and husband, Darrell and Frankie Gatturna all of Chino Hills, California; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Lou Koziol and husband, Ed of Wappingers Falls, NY.
