Hopkins Place in Sulphur Springs is partnering with Hospice Plus to collect toys for Blue Santa. A Blue Santa barrel is located at Hopkins Place. The effort began November 1 and will continue until December 9. On the 9th there will be a special toy drop-off event at Hopkins Place. The building will be decorated and there will be carolers, candy canes for children along with hot cocoa and hot cider. Sherry Drummond, Director of Community Relations for Hopkins Place, says there is a great need this year as Blue Santa attempts to provide toys for 1500 to 1600 children. Ms. Drummond was a guest on KSST’s Afternoon Delight Show with Chelsea Wednesday afternoon.
